District Reference Groups (DRG) are groups of Connecticut cities and towns with similar socio-economic status. They were defined by the Connecticut State Board of Education based on certain variables: income, education, occupation, family structure, poverty, home language and district enrollment. The most recent re-classification of the DRG was in 2006. A more detailed explanation of the DRG can be found at: http://www.sde.ct.gov/sde/lib/sde/PDF/EvalResearch/DRG_2006.pdf
